We care for the environment every day, in every decision we make

The future is uncertain, but we are building it through responsible use of resources

For us, everything starts with monitoring consumption

Our journey began in 2010, when we started analysing energy sources and their impact on the production process more precisely. From that point on, we introduced monitoring systems for water, gas, and energy, along with daily reporting tools that allow us to continuously track performance and intervene where necessary.

Over the years, this approach has evolved further, leading to the adoption of advanced platforms: flexible, modular systems that collect and integrate consumption and production data from multiple software sources, bringing everything together in a single dashboard.

For us, it all starts here: understand first, then act.

Energy Efficiency and Plant Investments

Over the years, we have made targeted investments to reduce consumption and waste, improving the energy efficiency of our facilities.

A key milestone came in 2016 with the commissioning of our first micro-cogeneration turbine plant in Verona. This solution allowed us to use natural gas more efficiently, generating not only the heat required for production processes but also electricity, reducing our dependence on the grid.

This path has continued with the introduction of photovoltaic systems, such as the installation at Nativa’s operational headquarters in Concamarise in 2024, further strengthening our commitment to more responsible use of resources.

Use water with respect and care

Water plays a fundamental role in our work. It is essential for sanitation, cold chain management, and many other processes. Without it, our activity would not be possible. That is why we are committed to using it responsibly.

Between 2013 and 2014, we replaced the water cooling system of the injection machine with an air heat exchanger— a concrete intervention that significantly reduced consumption. We have also introduced water recovery and reuse systems in refrigeration plants, along with a series of optimizations that have helped reduce wastewater.

For us, this means recognizing the value of a resource and choosing every day to use it more consciously.

A responsible approach to packaging

Our commitment also extends to packaging, where we focus on materials and on reducing everything that is not strictly necessary. When selecting packaging, we prioritize the lowest possible weight in order to limit plastic use and reduce waste.
